BunNan is a Haitian-Caribbean restaurant founded by Nadege Fleurimond, built around signature sandwiches that use fried plantains in place of bread — the name plays on "bannann," Haitian Creole for plantain. Started as a stall in the Flatbush Central Caribbean Marketplace, it now operates two Brooklyn locations and is widely known for its viral plantain creations, from sandwiches and tacos to plantain lasagna and waffles.
